This webinar focuses on 5 skill areas that are critical for AAC users to be successful. Not only must AAC users be taught vocabulary skills, but they must also learn skills such as operation of their system, how to handle breakdowns, and how to use language for different communicative functions.

Learning Objectives

- List 5 areas of AAC user competencies

- Identify at least 4 different assessments from which to choose goals and monitor progress

- Write at least 1 goal in each competency area
