Making the Transition from Writing to Typing: Tools for the Student (webinar)

With the advancements in mobile technology, typing is increasingly becoming a common AT solution for many students with writing difficulties. In this webinar we will discuss relevant solutions for typing in the classroom environment, including which kind of tablet or computer to use and appropriate apps and programs that are available on the market.
Using case studies, we will examine several apps in depth including keyboard apps and others that assist with filling out worksheets. We will look at relevant settings available in iOS and Windows, and we will discuss additional issues that affect typing in the classroom.
Some of the apps we will look at include IssieBoard and SnapType.
