Determining the AT needs of a child or student is the responsibility of the IFSP or the IEP team. This three-part series focuses on a process that may be used to evaluate the AT needs of a child or student. In this session, participants will learn about reviewing background data in order to begin to identify potential AT needs. Opportunities to ask questions will be included in the session.

Learning Outcomes

After participating in this session, individuals will:

• define what it means to look at a child's/student's skills from a human function perspective
• discuss a framework to guide the evaluation of AT needs process
• describe areas to discuss and analyze in determining potential AT needs
