Evaluation of AT Needs: Conducting Tool Trials

Determining the AT needs of a child or student is the responsibility of the IFSP or the IEP team. This three-part series focuses on a process that may be used to evaluate the AT needs of a child or student. In this session, participants will learn about how to conduct tool trials and employ the Time Series Concurrent and Differential (TSCD) approach to collect data in order to determine the most probable match between the student and potential AT solutions. Opportunities to ask questions will be included in the session.
Learning Outcomes:
After participating in this session, individuals will:
-explain the steps within the Time Series Concurrent and Differential approach
-identify conclusions from potential scenarios using the TSCD approach when conducting tool trials
-identify at least three factors that need to be considered when conducting tool trials
