The Social Environment encompasses relationships and interactions between children/ teachers; teacher/ teacher; family/ school. This session will examine resources that support young learners in communicating and connecting with peers and adults, developing friendships, and regulating their behaviors. In this session, we will look at resources to support communication, social-emotional development, and leverage cultural and linguistic diversity as a strength. Viewers will learn how to critically examine their current classroom and consider modifications that they can make to the social environment that supports play, communication, and learning.
