For students who have struggles with executive functioning, the very tools that are meant to help may cause additional struggles. This session will discuss considerations related to how to implement assistive technology while considering organization, memory, attention, processing, etc. Objectives ● Viewers will be able to identify at least three ways that adding assistive technology to a student’s day can cause executive functioning challenges. ● Viewers will be able to utilize a process to look at assistive technology usage to identify possible areas of concern or executive functioning “glitches”.
