Captioning Solutions with Mark Coppin

This session will cover the basics of captioning, captioning options on mobile devices and computers, as well as apps and programs for creating captions. We will cover Clips, Youtube auto-generated captions, Final Cut Pro captioning, MovieCaptioner and other solutions. Participants in this session will come away with information to start captioning all their movies. Objectives At the end of the session: 1. Participants will be able to identify 3 benefits of captioning. 2. Participants will be able to explain the difference between Open and Closed Captions. 3. Participants will be able to identify at least one captioning solution.

Chrome Extensions to Support Executive Functioning with Cassie Frost

Extensions that support organization, time management, memory, attention, and processing will be shared and demonstrated. This session will discuss considerations related to how to implement assistive technology while considering organization, memory, attention, processing, etc. Objectives ● Viewers will be able to identify at least three ways that adding assistive technology to a student’s day can cause executive functioning challenges. ● Viewers will be able to utilize a process to look at assistive technology usage to identify possible areas of concern or executive functioning “glitches”.

We will look at accessible music solutions such as Skoog, Beamz, Garageband and iPad apps. We will cover solutions from basic cause and effect music apps all the way to apps for composing and performing. Participants will learn how to unleash the inner Rock Star! Objectives: At the end of the session participants will: 1. Learn how accessibility features work with various music apps and programs. 2. Identify at least three music apps. 3. Identify at least three musical features of Garageband.
